I also found the viewing of hip hop culture was interesting, like graffiti which was viewed a lot in the film, breakdancing and DJing. These elements of expression was originally made to promote peace instead of violence, however in the film, most of it seemed to promote hatred towards the police.
Towards the ending scene, when Vinz gave the gun to Hubert, it reminded of how I would be so caught up on something all day, but at the end of the day when i think back to it, it seems really stupid. And also reminded me of "it does not matter how you fall, but how you land" because things were going "all right" for Vinz, Hubert and Said until at the end of the scene, Vinz gets shot. I thought it was just like "so far so good, so far so good.." thing in the movie and the landing for them wasn't quite as good. The whole movie and the discussion in class was really interesting to me and I thought some parts were kind of applicable to me.

I'm glad you enjoyed the film. You make some great observations about hip hop culture and the film's ending, which does mirror Hubert's story about the falling man.
