Marjane Satrapi chose to tell her childhood experiences in Iran during the war through a graphic novel which I think it is very interesting and I enjoyed it a lot. The pictures can tell more stories than words and a lot more entertaining. This book gives me a new perspective about Iran and those middle east countries. Before I thought of Iran and Iraqi were the same thing which I think of Muslim, veil, and war. Those were my stereotypes toward them, I would say. Now I have learned that for some they were forced to be Muslim, to wear veils, and to go to war. They are not allowed to wear jeans, listen to music, or even play chess. What else can they do??? Not only they have to hide away the bomb from the invaders, but they have to escape their own people. If they resist to follow those rules, they would be either in jail or executed. What else choice do they have??? I think it is very hard for anyone to go through that kind of experiences.

In the article shows that women and children in Iraqi were also tortured and killed for almost the same reason. The extreme Muslim. I don't what those Muslim fundamentalists believe in, but I think they should believe that killing people or anyone would make them go to hell. How could they do this to their own kinda??? as a human being. I wish there would be something or someone that can stop these violence and bring peace to the world.
