I believe Satrapi's uses the medium of comics or a graphical novel to basically give the readers a full idea for what it was like for her to grow up and the revolution she experienced in her Islamic country. As we discussed in class, a possible reason for the graphic novel would be to control the her audience's view on her words with that of how she want them to be viewed. This would probably create less confusion and better understanding. Also in a sense, allows her to connect with the readers on a emotional level.
As we read on and view the images portrayed in the book, we can sometimes get idea of placing ourselves within the scenes and events of the story. many of the scenes most likely would promote sadness, sympathy or even anger of moments to support the cause for the revolutionists.
