La Haine By Mathieu Kassovitz

One of the best thing about this class is we get to watch all these different movies. I am a huge movie fan , and I thought La Haine by Mathieu Kassovitz is the best movie we watched in the class. After going on the IMDB i found out that Mathieu Kassovitz not only directed this movie but he wrote the sotry too which is very imprssive, I also found out that he won the best director award at Cannes Film festival for this movie which in my openion is very deserving. I personally loved the direction of this movie especially that he shot the movie in black and white. I my openion black and white enhances the subjest matter. Like in the movie because it was black and white we only saw what director wanted us to see we didnt get distracted by any cool car or building or any art effect which we usually notice in other movie which had nothing to do with the movie.
I personally think Hubert have a very intresting role in the movie. In the begining he talks about how hate brings hate and it seems like he is looking for some diplomatic kind of solution for the roit. But at the end he end up pointing a gun on a cop who killed his friend Vinz. In my opinion this shows how Hubert landed throught out the movie he was pratical making smart decision even at one point waked away from his friend Vinz that was his falling part. But at the end he landed meaning he made a decison of killing a cop which he avodied in the whole movie.
